I really do think that people, girls especially, should stop weighing themselves. Unless you’re involved in MMA or something, I really don’t see what the actual purpose of defining oneself using a number could serve. I know how much I weigh, but for the past three years I haven’t - I only stepped on a scale because it was right in front of me, and the only reaction the number invoked was ‘huh’. Some girls, though, weigh themselves obsessively and have goals for how many kilograms they’d like to be at whatever point in their life… I just think it’s so sad, that people actually get to the point of wanting to change themselves, not to feel better within themselves or for health; but for a number on a bloody scale. I follow a few ‘plus size’ bloggers, and I’ve heard them all say time and time again that throwing away their scales was the best thing they’ve ever done for themselves, and I have to say that I’d love to see everyone apply this idea to their lives and stop giving a shit. If you feel good, it doesn’t matter. Honestly.
